1.Harry Winston`s robbery $108 million

Harry Winston is a famous store jewelery in Paris. On the closing time of 5th December, 2008, 3 men who wore wig`s and women`s clothing pointed a gun to the store keeper and cleaned up everything on the display and in the cashier box. Previous year, a thief took 10 million euros worth of jewels and the store did not learn much from that experience. Luckily, the robbers were captured several days later.

2. Antwerp Diamond Center $100 million+

Antwerp diamond center is the biggest uncut diamond saving in the world.80 percent of world`s uncut diamond saved in Antwrap center and thieves know this. In 16th February 2003, Leonardo Notarbartolo, a professional thief, took away 123 of 189 deposit boxes from Antwerp center. He already planned this stealing for 3 years and he did a very impressive job. He rent an office space, pretended to be an Italian Diamond seller and was capable to unlock all advance security system around the deposit boxes. Several time later, Notarbartolo was caught and  his action made him stay in prison for 10 years.

3. United California Bank Robbery $30 million+

Back in 24th March 1972, a shocking news of United California Bank robbery hit the news media. $30 million was robbed from the vault and the crime scene only left small pieces of evident and clue. a guy name Phil Christopher was reported once FBI took this case. His name was listed in the book of super-thief and it was good that he was finally apprehended several weeks later.

4. Schiphol Airport Heist-Amsterdam $118 million+

The robbery happened on February 25^th 2005 and the plan of robbery was already executed 2 weeks later. 4 men stole one KLM Royal dutch airlines cargo truck, stole the uniform and used it during the action. The KLM entered secured cargo area of the airport in February 25^th, carried many uncut diamonds that was planned to be delivered to Antwerp diamond center, and took the diamonds for them self. The robbers were very organized and neat. Police suspected some internal people who involve the robbery

5. British Bank of the Middle East Beirut, Lebanon: £25 million

The robbery happened in 20th January, 1976 and PLO organization was suspected behind the crime. It was a time of war and British Bank of the Middle East was situated in the middle of the conflict. The amount of asset that was taken was around £25 million or $100 million in today`s dollar

6. Knightsbridge Security Deposit-UK: £60 million

The robbery was happened in 12th July 1987 and it was done by a people who just migrated to United kingdom in 1986. The robber name is Valerio Vecci. He stole £60 million from Knightsbridge Safe Deposit Center after pretended to be one customer who wanted to rent a safe deposit box. He successfully brought the money to Latin America but he was finally captured once he came back to UK to take his Ferrari that worth less than a million.

7.Baghdad Bank Robbery Baghdad, Iraq: $282 million

The robbery was happened in a time of crisis in 12th July 2007. The amount was astounding $282 million. The robbers remains free till this day and media seem not really care about this

8. Boston Museum Robbery, Boston, USA: $300 million

In 18th March 1990, without any weapon, 2 men who dressed like 2 police officers convinced 2 new museum guards and handcuffed them. Within 81 minutes, those 2 men had selected 12 pieces of most expensive paintings and brought them out from the museum. In total, their total robbery is worth more than $300 million ( 3 of them are masterpiece of Rembrandt’s and one of Vermeer)and they have not been caught yet. Immunity of prosecution and $5 million rewards has been offered to anyone who return or know where the paintings.Unfortunately, the offers are not appealing enough.

9. Central Bank of Iraq, Baghdad, Iraq,$1 billion

The mastermind of robbery was done by Saddam Hussein and the plan was executed by his own son Qusay. in 18th March 2003, $1 billion cash was withdrawn from Central Bank of Iraq and it was happened one day before US-coalition forces bombed Iraq. After the attack, $650 million was finally found by US armies hidden inside the wall of one of Saddam`s palace. The rest $350 millions remain mystery until now.
