01.The Colossus of Rhodes

-Used by Demetrius I of Macedon, the Helepolis was the largest military blockade ever constructed in the ancient time:.The Helepolis was a huge building, rolling impenetrable fortress with13 highs  and 180 tons of weight

-The Name Helepolis literally means ‘Destroyer of cities.”and was initiated by Demetricus the “Poliorcetes”, the Poliorcetes meant “the Enemy” in ancient Greek literature.

-History assumes 2 possible reasons for the fall of Helepolis, it was abandoned because it was never destroying a city or the Rhodians dismantled it and used the materials to build the Colossus of Rhodes

02.The Taj Mahal

Interesting facts list:

-It was built by Shah Jahan ,the Mughal Emperor, to remember the third wife

- The Mausoleum was built in 1632 and completed in 1648. It took additional 5 years to build surrounding buildings, the beautiful gardens, and the long pool

-Before Shah Jahan death in 1666, he was deposed by his own son to leave the kingship. It was lucky that he finally buried inside the mausoleum with her lovely wife

- Taj Mahal has 2 ticket system, an entrance fee ticket for  Indian citizens are cheaper then foreigners.

03.Statue of Liberty

Interesting facts list:

-This monument was a joint venture project between France and America. France Government financed it and America provided the land and location

- The pedestal almost failed to complete due to lack of financing in 1885

-  It took 10 hours a day of working hours and 7 days a week for 9 years to complete this monument

-The designer of Statue of Liberty was Gustave Eiffel. He was also the designer of Eiffel Tower,

-The Statue of Liberty`s sculptor was Frederic Auguste Bartholi. He used his own mother`s face as a model for the statue and he used his wife body`s as a model for the statue

04.The Eiffel Tower.

Interesting facts list:

-It was built in 1899 as a symbol of 100 years celebration of French Revolution

-The name was took from the Designer name Gustave Eiffel. It was recorded as the world`s most tallest structure until 1930

-In 1909, the tower was almost dismantled. It was lucky that “high societies” communication saved the incomplete tower

-Since 1889, this tower have been visited by 200.000.000 from around the world

05.The Grand Canyon

06.Great Wall of China

-Beside the longest building, it is also the longest cemetery in the world. It was reported that 1.000.000 peoples death during the construction

07.Leaning Tower of Pisa

-It started to lean because of poor foundation construction and materials

-The construction time took 177 years because Republic of Pisa could not focus on the construction process. The country was faced with war against Genoa,Lucca and Florence that time.

-The tower had been used by Nazis as a tower of observation post. That fact was known by US army sergeant but luckily, he did not want to call artillery back up to bomb it.

-Engineers team had removed 70 metric tons of dirt from the tower`s base and in may 2008, the head of engineer announced that the tower had been steadied for the first time in history. The tower would be stand stably for the next 200 years

08.The Pyramid of Giza

Interesting fact list:

-It is known as the only remaining wonders of Ancient World.

-It was built around 2500 BCE as the last resting place of Pharaoh Khufu.

- It was recorded as the tallest structure in the world for 4300 years before 19^th century

-Great Pyramid of Giza was built by Egyptian independent contractors and not by Aliens

-The shape of the Pyramid was adopting the system of ramps. It was most suitable design to move  huge stones to the top layer of the pyramid.

-The chemical composition of Mortar to build the Pyramid was identified but cannot be re-produced in modern construction techniques

09.The Colosseum

-The Colosseum illuminate at night and the color is turning from white to gold when death sentence is abolished

10.Mount Rushmore

-Mount Rushmore was carved 90% by dynamite. The dynamite was used to remove 450,000 tons of fine-grain granite from the mountain`s body

-Thomas Jefferson used to be on the right side of George Washington. His position was changed to the left side of George Washington 18 month later.

-Part of the financing was helped by Ku Klux Klan. The memorial`s sculpting was done by one of Ku Klux Klan leader, Gutzon Borgium, from Georgia
