Here we are going to surf 7 amazing churches that are no longer works as a place to call god or a site for priest to enlighten the restless living souls. They are victims of human’s will and they are the survivals of human’s ego to build large dams and water reservoirs.
7. Potosi, Venezuela

The Church was part of 1,200 acres potosi region in Venezuela that was abandoned after president Carlon andres decided to build La Honda Dam for the good of larger numbers of people in 1985. The churc reemerged for unexpected El Nino in 2010 that caused an abnormal drought.

6. St. Nicholas Church, Macedonia

Macedonian built the church in 1850. For 153 years, the church served spiritual need of Macedonian until they agreed to accept the building of artificial lakes around the area. It rises from the wet graves every summer since years 2000.

The phantasmagoric church of the holy rosary is located in Karnataka , India. It was built around 1860s and served Christians until 1960s. Local government decided to drown the church include the village to expand the room of Hemavathy reservoirs. The church is only seen every monsoons.
4. Church of Old Petrolandia, Brazil

Petrolandia is a small town in Brazil on the edge of Sao Francisco River. Once the river owns a new giant dam, the church has become one of the victims. From distance, it looks like a giant fish from Jurassic time maws its mouth to eat.
3. Church of Krokhino, Russia

The ruin of Chruch of Krokhino looks new because Sheksna River and Onega Lake constantly bath the church. According to Sharon, a photographer, Krokhino was built around 15th century as a Christian center of Vologda Oblast villagers. In 1980s, Soviet government constructed a giant hydroelectric plant near the church. After the dam construction completed, that was the time when the church retired from its service.
2. Church of Lake Reschen, Italy

Chrurch of Lake reschen was a spiritual center of Graun Villagers since 14th century. In 1950, an electrical company wanted to build a dam here and they need to own a vast artificial lakes that will drown Graun village include 163 homes and 1 church on it..The artificial river finally completed. It is 72 feet deep and it wets 1,290 acres of land that used to be farmlands
1. Kalyazin Bell Tower, Russia

Kalyazin Bell Tower was an instrument of St. Nicholas Church. It was built around the last decade of 1700s. In 1939, after Russia revolution, Stalin wanted to build a reservoir in the volga river and the project had to drown almost anything around volga river. View decades after the church resurrect from the watery grave; the amazing church attracts many tourists. Local government facilitated the drowned object with boats dock and other facilities.
